Biannual Bibliothon Day 5 – Character Connections

Hello you all!

Today’s challenge is hosted by Ashley at and the idea is to discuss two characters that you’ve related to on a personal level. Let’s get started!

So, the first character I want to talk about is Anne from the Anne of Green Gables series. The parts of Anne that I connect with are the fact that she’s very bookish, just like me, quite dramatic (I know, me, dramatic? WHAT!?), and believes in kindred spirits, just like me. She helped me to see all the beauty in the world, and her optimism in the hardest of scenarios really inspires me.

Another character is Kady from the Illuminae series (No spoilers please! Haven’t read Gemina yet!). Her astounding knowledge was just so inspiring, and her courage and bravery incomparable. I love how very unapologetic she is, and she’s inspired me to be more myself, develop my understanding of the world, and has made me speak my mind more often. It’s the smallest of changes, but thanks to Kady I fully believe in and voice my opinions more now, and I feel like I am worthy. Her badass-ery has helped me to become braver. Thanks Kady!

I loved writing this. It really made me think, and realise that characters have really shaped who I am over the years. Until tomorrow!

Libby xx
